What I write here
This is my cozy internet space where I write whatever I want! The best way to know the kinds of things I write about is to look at the tags page, because that will give you more specifics. In general, though, I write about culture, art, and sometimes technology.
The Wyrm behind the Inch
Inchwyrm is my most recent internet alias, but I've also gone by cobyzaby and toadsbey. You can call me any of these, or you can call me inch or toads for short.
In college, I studied art history and philosophy, focusing mostly on the early- to mid- 20th century. I also have a master's degree in library science. Some subjects that I'm always thinking about in one way or another are horror, folklore/fairy tales, fan and internet culture, art, language, dreams, and nature. I'm about 98% sure I'm autistic, and my special interest is the Sims franchise (especially Sims 2 and Sims 4. I haven't played 3 in a long time and have never played 1). Any kind of simulation or procedural generation is interesting to me, though.
Some other things I think are relevant:
- I'm queer and trans.
- I use they/them pronouns.
- I'm in my mid-twenties.
Contact
If you want to talk about any of the stuff I mention on this page or elsewhere, feel free! You can email me at cobyzaby@gmail.com. It may take a while before I see your message, but I will see it! As of writing this, my guestbook is down, but you can try the link anyway, just in case.
I'm not really on any other social media. You can explore my websites, though.
Q & A
What is an inchwyrm?
I originally meant it as an inch-long wyrm, but I also sometimes just imagine an inchworm. I'd like to think it's a dragon built like an inchworm, though, with a bunch of tiny legs.
Who's your favorite artist?
I can't choose an absolute favorite, but some contenders include Claude Cahun, Gustav Klimt, Frida Kahlo (specifically to spite the excessive sanitized marketing of her likeness), Marcel Duchamp, and Francisco Goya.
What's your favorite art movement?
Surrealism! And to a lesser extent, dada.
Favorite Sims 2 neighborhood?
Favorite Sims 4 world?
Moonwood Mill, if we're counting DLC. In the base game, it's probably Willow Creek.
